Affair Tent & Event Rentals was selected to provide a highly technical installation of a premium grade 40’ wide x 160’ long Clear Span Tent for the annual Downtown Oakville & Mercedes-Benz Runway Show.
Widely regarded as one of Canada’s premier upscale areas, the organizers at the Oakville BIA were intent on providing an upscale tented environment for the event, as the tent supplied the previous year by another supplier did not meet expectations.
Located on a public roadway, which was closed to provide a location for the event, the tent could not be spiked into the ground and was anchored using large-concrete ballast weights with custom vinyl covers.
Affair Tent & Event Rentals consulted on pre-event design layout, provided assistance to Oakville BIA with preparing the temporary tent building permit application and made arrangements through WEAL Consulting to provide the required structural engineering site review to ensure adherence to the Ontario Building Code.
The client was extremely pleased with the quality of products/services provided and the event was a great success, providing a beautifully upscale venue for both attendees and participants. An homage to the tents from New York Fashion Week in beautiful downtown Oakville.
