Fighting back against COVID-19
March 24, 2020
"It took cancer to realize that being self-centered is not the way to live. The answer is to try and help others." Terry Fox
In the spirit of helping others, we are focused and ready to assist with the current coronavirus pandemic. We learned from our experience in providing hospitals and health care facilities in Southern Ontario with temporary structures during the SARS crisis of 2003 that collective efforts make a difference. We are now applying the lessons we learned in the fight with SARS against this much bigger adversary, COVID-19.
COVID-19 is a direct threat to our community and the world that is not to be taken lightly. We are focusing intently on providing essential equipment to front-line efforts against the spread of the virus, while taking a broad range of precautions to ensure the safety of our dedicated staff.
Currently we are providing rapid-deployment temporary tents and structures for drive through COVID-19 testing stations at a number of hospitals and are fielding an increasing number of incoming requests for long-term and short-term coverage solutions daily.
If you are attempting to source a supplier for any of the following elements, contact us immediately at info@affair-rentals.com:
- Tents of virtually any size (Small = Security checkpoint tents, Medium = Drive through testing tents, Large = Field hospitals covering tens of thousands of square feet). A 30,000 square foot structure can be installed in as little as two days.
- Complete flooring systems to provide a thermal break from the ground and ensure ground water travels under the system. Our non-slip, heavy-duty flooring system is fully capable of handling heavy vehicle traffic (cars, trucks, ambulances, fire trucks, tractor trailers, etc.).
- Lighting systems
- Heating and Cooling
- Tables, chairs, and a wide variety of other support elements.
We urge you to join the collective fight and do your part against this enemy. Abide by all Federal and Provincial health authority recommendations and ask yourself what you can do to help your community at this time.
Whether it is picking up groceries for an elderly neighbour, putting on your teaching hat as an online tutor, or simply remaining in isolation with or without your loved ones, every little thing helps.
By remaining physically separate as much as possible, together we will keep each other safe.
Be well,
